At Severnside, we are committed to providing quality, affordable homes for our local communities. As well as maintaining our existing housing stock, we have a key role in developing new homes in the local area, and work in association with a number of different organisations to do this.
We are a member of the Spectrum Development partnership, a unique partnership of ten independent housing associations with unrivalled experience and expertise of managing more than 46,000 homes within diverse communities across the West Midlands.
Through membership of the Spectrum Development partnership, Severnside is currently working through a five year, £26 million development programme, which aims to deliver around 250 much needed new affordable homes in the local area. All of Severnside’s new homes are built to the highest standards of quality and energy efficiency. Our new properties feature solar panel water heating systems, ‘A-rated’ high efficiency condensing boilers and Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) ratings that exceed the minimum recommended levels.
Many of these homes will be offered for general needs rent, with the remainder being sold on a shared ownership basis.
