Local standards
The Tenant Services Authority (TSA) has asked social housing tenants across the country what matters to them most when it comes to their homes and the services they receive. This research identified the six main areas of service that are most important to tenants, known as the Six Standards. These are:
- Tenant involvement and empowerment
- Home
- Neighbourhoods and communities
- Tenancy
- Value for money
- Governance and financial viability
The Six Standards came into effect in April 2010, and all social landlords had to develop and publicise how they will deliver services in line with these standards, to their tenants by October 2010. Severnside did this through its 2009-10 Tenants Annual Report which was sent to all tenants.
We have now begun to expand upon these Six Standards to give more detail and provide a locally tailored service, known as Local Offers. You can find out more by clicking on the releveant Local Offer below:
