Community events
As well as opportunities to be involved in regular Focus Groups, we hold several community events each year, including:
- Severnside Cultural Day – a celebration of the different cultures in our local area and an opportunity to find out more about them
- Severnside Community Fayre – a free fun day open to the whole community, offering people a chance to try different activities, mix with the local community and find out more about Severnside
- Meole Community ‘Not on my Estate’ day – a fun day for local residents to get together and take a stand against anti-social behaviour on their estate
We also attend a number of events around the area, including:
- Rock Against Racism
- Teenage Kicks
- Minsterley Show
- Love Music, Hate Racism

- Hate Crime event
- Benefit Awareness Days
To find out more about any of these events, please contact the Community Development team on 0845 234 2424.
Another way to get involved is through our regular estate walkabouts; a chance for you to join us, and partner agencies such as the Council, for a walk around the area you live in. These walkabouts are an opportunity for you to raise any issues or concerns you may have in your local area, and find out what is being done to address them. Estate Walkabouts take place in:
- Castlefields
- Monkmoor
- Ditherington
- Meole
- Harlescott
- Springfield
- Hanwood
- Cressage
