Community Chest Funding

Severnside has a Community Chest Fund set up to help local voluntary, community or recreational groups working in the Shropshire area, whose work will directly benefit our residents and their communities.

Grants are available for one off projects, to help get a project started, to purchase specific items or towards the cost of specific pieces of work.

Examples of eligible projects include:

  • Providing opportunities for Severnside residents to be involved in their local community

  • Promoting community cohesion

  • Supporting community development and learning

  • Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour

  • Enhancing cleanliness in the community

  • Preserving and enhancing the environment

  • Improving access to services in the community 

  • Promoting employment and work opportunities

  • Enabling personal development opportunities
