Employment and money advice

Our employment and money advice team offer help and support on a range of matters, either on a one-to-one basis or through our weekly job clubs and drop-in sessions.  Please click on the Job Clubs/Drop-in Session link to the left to find out more.

One-to-one appointments can be held at our Brassey Road office or in your own home.

The team can assist with:

  • Maximising your income.
  • Debt advice and negotiation with creditors to reduce payments.
  • Welfare benefit checks and help applying for eligible benefits.
  • Making applications for grants/trust funds such as Severn Trent, British Gas or the Local Support and Prevention Fund.
  • Reducing your household bills.
  • Signposting you to specialist agencies, such as the Citizens Advice Bureau and StepChange.
  • Helping you get back into work; we offer assistance with CV writing, interview techniques job searching and applying for jobs online. We can also assist with finding apprenticeships, volunteering opportunities or signposting you to programmes such as The Prince's Trust.
